My Good Friday

If you ask me, my day was great. It started off with my review on the trip to the Lilliesleaf Museum being the best in the class and I got to read it to the whole school. then I got a Merit Certificate. During English we got to write birthday cards to Nelson Mandela and that made me feel important. when I got home I realised that I had no homework so that was great. When my parents arrived home from work, however, they had picked up my glasses a day early and they had both pairs not just the one pair.

Plus it was the beginning of the week-end.

Lilliesleaf Museum Field Trip

Today my teacher took the grade 5's to the new Lilliesleaf Museum in Rivonia. We had a great time. Lots of the children took cameras with and they took loads of pictures. We learned all about what it was like during apartheid time. We also went into the house that Nelson Mandela lived in while he was hiding before the Rivonia Trial. I felt really important because we were the first people to go into the museum from the public before it is fully and officially opened.

Last night I finished my 9th book. I'm just flying through them and now I'm starting another one. some people may think I'm mad because I like books but they don't really know what they are missing.
